Respected Principal Sir, Teachers and My Dear Friends Good Morning to All
A Famous sage once beautifully replied when asked, what the importance of ‘Guru’ is, he said one can feel air because it is all around us, but we sit near a fan in order to feel air better. Similarly, God is all around us, but we need, ‘Guru’ as that fan, sitting next to him that will make us feel god in a better way. To all those who gave me any bit knowledge, I am humble and thankful for their presence in our life ! Hearty morning and warm welcome to you all !
This is Chetan Darji from class 9th. On the occasion of Guru Punima I wish you all a Happy Guru Purnima Day ! And I bow down to My guru for imparting the immense wealth of knowledge & wisdom.
Guru Purnima. It’s a tradition dedicated to all the spiritual and academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened humans, ready to share their wisdom, we will know more about Guru Purnima but let me share with you first the meaning of the word ‘Guru’. This word translates to ‘Dispeller of Darkness’ And used for teacher, mentor or anyone who teaches us something. This day is to commemorate the importance of Guru.
According to the Hindus scriptures, the famous sage veda vyas was born on this day who was also know as Maharshi Vyas. He wrote the ‘Mahabharata’, Assembled the Vedas, gave the names of the four vedas and that is why he is known as veda vyas. That’s why ‘Guru Purnima’ is also called as ‘Vyas Purnima’. Guru Purnima is also celebrated by Buddhists to commemorate the day when Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon at sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Hindu Scriptures also say that on this day Lord Shiva, The fist or Adi Guru of the world. Gave the knowledge of yoga to saptarishis (The Seven Sages) for the benefit of Humanity, Guru Purnima was one of the most important festivals in the nation. A teacher or Guru was considered the highest entity in society because knowing is the most important thing. Dear all, this is the best time to receive the grace of the Guru. A Guru offers a major contribution towards nurturing and developing the overall personality of the children. He is the one who teaches what life is & also how to make the most of it. Our teachers not only provide good education to us but also lead us towards the path of enlightenment. We are so blessed to have you in our life. You have truly helped and are helping us on our journey, and we thank god for you every day.
