CBSE Circular for Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya 2024
Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya, the National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents, an initiative by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, aims to provide free access to high-quality books for children and adolescents across different geographies, languages, genres, and educational levels.
The application is available on Android and iOS platforms and is a digital toolkit for students, librarians, and teachers. It offers thousands of books well categorized in age-groups (3-8, 8-11, 11-14, 14-18) with age appropriate stories, biographies, classics, science fiction, novels etc. It also has provisions for creating digital readers’ clubs and interactive sessions and monitoring readers’ progress.
Further, to help the schools adapt to the application, the Communications Team of Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya will conduct orientation sessions for schools, both online and in-person. For this purpose, a dedicated helpline number +91 9319703004 has been set up.
The schools may nominate one Nodal Officer to attend the orientation sessions and events related to Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya application. Name of the Nodal Officer along with contact details (email and mobile number) may be sent to rashtriyaepustakalaya@gmail.com
