Respected Principal Sir, Teachers and My dear friends Good Morning to All.
Today, we all are here for the occasion of International Youth Day, with all the joy, I am going to present my speech on International Youth Day.
The International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12 each year to recognize efforts of the world’s youth in enhancing global society.
It was first celebrated on August 12,2000. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. It also aims to promote ways to engage the in becoming more actively involved in making positive contributions to their communities.
Youth is the joy. It is a time of development. It is the time for growth and change. He plays an important role in the development of our society. he has the capabilities to bring social reforms and improvement in the society. The youth generation has to be very responsible and say no to drugs. Youth empowerment can eradicate poverty from the country.
Each year this day is celebrated along with a theme. The Theme for International Youth Day 2024 is ‘From Clicks to Progress; Youth Digital Pathways For Sustainable Development’. This theme focuses on how young people utilize digital technologies to contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
International youth day gives a platform to the voices of the youth. It engages youngsters and aims to take initiatives and actions that will increase opportunities for them. It also promotes understanding and unity among the youngsters.
This is a fun-filled occasion with various activities like debates, exhibitions, fairs, conferences, and other promotional activities.
Even the people staying at home can celebrate this day by supporting the activities through radio shows and other social media.
