Observing Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) – 2024 in Schools
Vigilance Awareness Week will be observed from 28.10.2024 to 03.11.2024 with the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”. Accordingly, all schools are advised to observe “Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024” from 28.10.2024 to 03.11.2024 and organize the following activities as may be feasible in the schools:
- Display of banners, hoardings, posters etc. during the Vigilance Awareness Week.
- Administer “Integrity Pledge” by the students of class X to XII, teachers and other staff members of the school during the Vigilance Awareness Week. The pledge is attached at Annexure 1.
- Advise the students, teachers and other staff members to take e-pledge on the website of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The pledge is available at the link https://pledge.mygov.in/cvc/
- Sensitize the students of senior classes about the ill-effects of corruption in the society and promote moral values amongst the students.
- Sensitize the staff members for creating awareness about the ill-effects of corruption and to promote probity, integrity and honesty. Special emphasis may be given to encourage the youth in various activities emphasising the importance of integrity and ethics.
- Organize various activities such as lectures, panel discussions, debates, quiz, essay writing, slogans/ elocution/ cartoon/ poster making competitions on moral values, ethics, good governance practices etc. covering the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week so as to generate healthy debate on corruption and for ensuring active participation of students.
- Organize seminar/ workshop in the school on the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week
